Integrated Supply
View our Integration Brochure
Cline Tool and Service Company is a leading industrial distributor; this position, combined withour expertise as a custom tool manufacturer, allows Cline Tool and Service Company to provide a full service Integrated Supply program that is customized to your needs.
Cline Tool approaches integration differently than most of the companies involved in this type of business. All integrators can buy and sell tools; some better than others, but for the most part it is a pretty basic function. We utilize our volume and partnerships with industry giants to negotiate the best pricing, and when we enter into an agreement we bring years of manufacturing engineering experience with us. We have an extensive network of our own staff as well as partners in every aspect of the metal cutting industry. We work very closely with most of the major machine tool manufacturers, developing processes for turnkey projects that are sold to some of the largest manufacturers in the world.
We have an experienced engineering and project staff that can easily handle your needs as a manufacturer. We provide expert advice and solutions to accommodate: fixturing, tooling, production increases, redevelopment, lean manufacturing implementations, cost savings suggestions and implementations, etc. We can achieve these goals and tasks through the combined experience and continuous learning that is acquired by working hand-in-hand with our customers on a daily basis. Our goal is to bring you the most up to date technology to solve your problems before they are a problem. If the technology that our customers' need does not exist, then we will work with them and our partners to develop it.
Our world-class manufacturing and re-manufacturing capabilities allow us to reduce the overall "cost of manufacturing" for our customers. We provide complete and comprehensive tool rebuilding and regrinding programs that are proven to be aggressive cost saving tools. We feel that there is no need to buy a new tool if the current ones can be refurbished to perform as well as a new one for a fraction of the new tool cost. Regrinds and rebuilds can be set up to be automatically dispensed before the new tools. This automatically allows the customer's management and engineering staff to control spending with little to no supervision and concentrate their resources on achieving their company's goals.
There are 3 main components to the cost of your product and our program addresses all three.
Procurement Price:
- Price improvement thru volume leveraging
- Only suppliers that understand your needs will be given opportunities
- Negotiations with suppliers through tri-lateral negotiations
- Align supplier with requirements
- Product standardization and or substitution
Possession Costs:
- This is the main reason why manufacturers embark on integration programs in the first place
- Elimination of excess and or obsolete inventories
- Consigned inventory
- Automated vending equipment
- Establish optimal inventory min/max levels
- Summary billing
Manufacturing Costs:
It is here where we bring real value to your organization. We are a manufacturer just like you. We know how to reduce these costs, we do it all the time. Plus our relationships with industry giants will be leveraged to your benefit. Reducing your cost of manufacturing is the most important aspect of our program for you. How do we do it?
- We monitor and adjust inventories
- We identify high use items and work with your personnel and suppliers to find a better more cost effective solution
- We will get involved at the beginning of new product launches to ensure that they meet or exceed the project goals
This speaks to the unique value that Cline Tool & Service Company will bring to your organization. We are not just experts on the "Flow" aspect of the business we are true experts on the "Spec" side too. Flow being what a traditional industrial distributor offers and the Spec side being able to truly understand what it takes to lower your manufacturing costs.
Improve year after year:
Without a sound approach to this critical aspect why would anyone look to integration in the first place?
- We do this by setting mutual, agreed upon goals as to what constitutes cost-savings
- What those percentages need to be for each period of our agreement
- Have bi-annual reviews to ensure that we are exceeding your expectations
- Management reporting; scheduled reports provided daily, weekly or monthly to your management team that provide the data to manage your business
The End Result: Delivering Exceptional Value
