Cline Tool & Service Company manufactures a wide variety of products from blue print tools to custom tools.  We manufacture many different types of cutting tool holders and wear components.  As evident by the broad range of products we manufacture, we are also a full service custom tool manufacturer.  We have the experience and technical expertise to handle the most demanding applications.  We provide complete design and build services, supplying complete manufacturing drawing for all tools we build.  Our philosophy is to work closely with our customers as a partner, an extension of their manufacturing and engineering departments.  If your current supplier is not meeting your expectations, we would like the opportunity to earn your business.

Multi-diameter boring bars used to produce multiple features in one pass. Bars are manufactured utilizing integral pocket insert, standard and special shelf mount cartridges and fine finish boring cartridges.  Our engineering department reviews the application requirements and utilizing the most advanced design tools develop a tool that meets the most demanding applications. We utilize all industry standard cartridges and inserts. Quality, Delivery and innovative design, are the cornerstone of these products.
Cline tool is a leader in the manufacturing of solid carbide drills and form tools, these are produced on one of our seven Walters grinders.  We utilize only premium Konrad Friechs coolant fed, and solid rod in our manufacturing.  Quality, value and performance is assured through inspections at each step of the manufacturing process. Cline Tool is one of the few companies that have made the significant investment in making PVD Hard Tool Coating as an in-house process, this allows us to control the quality, reduce lead times, and respond to the emergency needs of our customers.

Carbide tipped form tools, porting tools, and multi diameter reamers
All tool bodies are manufactured from either 4140 through hardened or Tool Steel, this allows for increased stiffness which has a direct influence on tool life, carbide cracking and the ability to hold tighter tolerances. Brazing a critical process when manufacturing carbide tipped tools is performed by employees with an average of 25 years experience in the brazing of carbide tipped tools. We have a tremendous amount of expertise in the design and manufacture of carbide tipped tools, we supply tools to manufacture special hydraulic valve configurations, tools for the gas and water flow industry, transmission, and engine manufacturing.  We supply complete manufacturing drawings showing all geometry, this geometry is essential for proper resharpening.  We also offer a complete and comprehensive retipp and regrind program.

Custom indexable drills
We manufacture a wide variety of custom drills in special diameters, extended lengths, drills to produce multiple features in one pass and drills to drill and chamfer.  We can quote your current designs or our engineering staff can design the tool to suit your application

These mills are manufactured in special diameters, lead angles, and with various insert geometries.  Forward us your current design for quotation or have our engineers design a solution for your application

Heavy metal and carbide shank boring bars
We manufacture solid carbide and heavy metal boring bars in all lengths and diameters.

Custom form ground, grooving and threading inserts
All form ground inserts are manufactured on our Wasino CNC profile form grinders. These range from special Top Lock or Top Notch threading and grooving inserts, complex form inserts, and pulley groove inserts.  The combination of in house grinding and PVD coating make us an excellent choice for your custom form insert requirements.

Work rest blades, carbide and ceramic tipped
We manufacture carbide and ceramic  tipped work rest blades for centerless grinders, all blades are ground to a high polish for increased life and many PVD coated.  Let our engineering staff work on your most demanding application.  We also offer a complete and comprehensive rebuild program for work rest blades.

Cline Tool manufactures standard thread mills in private label agreements for some of the leading thread mill manufacturers. We specialize in the manufacture custom or high volume standards, in solid carbide T2, T3 design. 

Complete tool regrind, repair and coating programs
Cline tool offers custom designed steel tool repair, carbide drill (most manufactures) H.S.S. cabide tipped retipp and regrind programs.  We are small enough to taylor a program for your indiviul needs but large enough to service multi-site manufactures.  Contact us and we will be glad to discuss a program that fits your needs.
